The design of this unique piece of fleur de lis jewelry is inspired by a fleur de lis pattern we found on a cast iron lamp post in the French Quarter, here in New Orleans. Over decades the lamp post was painted and repainted even as paint peeled from the cast iron surface. This beautiful fleur de lis shape, and the patina on its surface, inspired our "Lamp Post Fleur Brooch". Its quite large, and since its made of sterling silver its not light-- perfect on a jacket, but not suitable on a light weight blouse.
